Data Engineer

DATA ENGINEER (MADRID)

Mission: Build data pipelines and data models in a centralized data platform, creating data products and monitor data quality in order to build KPIs and master data for reporting and advanced analytics purposes.

Responsabilities:

• Develop solutions to extract data from various systems and load it into databases using different technologies to transfer and load the data.
• Work closely with the team to evaluate, maintain and support existing applications ensuring that the Data platform is accurate, available, and performant.
• Identify improvements and implement solutions for the existing applications.
• Work with different business departments to gather business needs and translate them into technical specifications.
• Make accurate estimations based on scope, requirements and effort.
• Understand and communicate possible risks and mitigations to estimated timelines.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems or another technical field. Master degree is preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience as Data Engineer, some experience working in Agile Methodology.
• Demonstrated experience in successful implementation of enterprise scale Business Intelligence and Advanced analytics data solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to drive projects to an effective and timely completion.
• Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in a large and multicultural company.
• Analytical capacity.
• Self-Managed attitude and proactivity.
• Fluent in English (B2)

Technical skills:

• Experience with informational Systems.
• Experience with multidimensional modelling Kimball Approach.
• Experience in Azure and AWS Platforms with technologies such as: Data Factory, Databricks, Blob storage, S3.
• Advanced SQL and Python language knowledge.
• CICD Devops approach knowledge.
• Confluent / Apache Kafka knowledge.
